Shoulder Rehabilitation Seminar
22 Apr 2008
The London EIS Physiotherapy team ran an evening seminar at the Olympic Medical Institute on Monday 21st April. The talk on shoulders was aimed principally at Physiotherapists, Sports Physicians and Strength & Conditioning Coaches and brought together the combined efforts of the London Physiotherapy team to challenge current concepts and stimulate knowledge exchange within this area. The three part presentation looked at functional anatomy, testing and rehabilitation of the athletic shoulder. It was well attended by EIS staff from a number of regions, BOA staff from the Olympic Medical Institute and representatives from the Lawn Tennis Association, Arsenal FC, London Irish RFC and Pure Sports Medicine.
The consensus from all involved was that the evening was a great success and it has sparked further interest in collaborative work with other organisations.
Future seminars will be advertised on this website and throughout the network to provide more frequent CPD opportunities for practitioners.
