Male Archers Lose Out to Hosts

The Team GB men’s archery team missed out on a place in the quarter-finals after the trio of Larry Godfrey, Simon Terry and Alan Wills went down 214-210 to China.
Terry said: “We didn’t really step up today. Maybe the moment got to us a bit.”
Attention now turns to the women’s individual competition, which gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday).
Team GB’s Charlotte Burgess faces Chinese opposition in the round of 32 in the shape of Guo Dan. Naomi Folkard takes on Soha Abed Elaal of Egypt and Alison Williamson faces Chinese Taipei archer Wei Pi-Hsiu.
