Young Ambassadors Olympic Day Challenge!

02 Jun 2010

On 23 June, Olympic Day will be celebrated across the world!

To celebrate this special day we would like to set you a challenge – try five new things for the five Olympic Rings!

Competition!
Take a photograph of your activities and be in with a chance to win!

Prizes
The top 3 entries will win London 2012 goodie bags!
The best 5 entries will be part of an interactive map that will be displayed on the Get Set website.

Rules
You must send us:
- your full name and the name and address of the school you attend
- a photograph showing at least one of the five new things you tried
- a brief description of the five activities you took part in (no more than 100 words)

Entries must be received by Monday 12 July.

Here are some ideas to get you started....
Why not:
- live out a new Olympic or Paralympic Value?
- try a new piece of fruit as part of a healthy diet?
- try a new Olympic or Paralympic sport?
- make a new friend?

Be as creative and original as you can, but most importantly, have fun!

Don't forget, there are tonnes of great resources available on Get Set that you may wish to use.

Things to consider:
• How will your activities reflect the Olympic and Paralympic Values?
• How will you encourage other young people to take part and celebrate Olympic Day?
• What impact will your activities have?
• Are your ideas sustainable? Think about James Cracknell's message to Young Ambassadors at the conferences - you have a responsibility to consider the impact your activity has on the environment.
• Think about how you can best showcase your activities in your photo to create a really exciting shot!
