At the London Games in 1908 William Dod won a men’s singles gold in the archery and his sister Lottie won silver in the women’s event. The pair were descended from Sir Anthony Dod, who commanded King Henry V’s archers against France in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. Lottie also won Wimbledon 5 times.
