Archer
Alan Wills lost a closely-contested battle for a quarter-final place to Cuba’s Juan Carlos Stevens, ending Team GB’s interest in the archery competition in Beijing.
Wills went down 108 to 104 to the Cuban, who sealed victory with a faultless final end.
Wills said: “I was the best prepared I could have been today, but I just didn’t shoot my best.
“I felt a bit subdued, usually I shoot with more aggression,” he added. “Obviously I’m absolutely gutted.”
