Murray is a right-handed player who turned pro in 2005 aged 18. He is now Great Britain's number one. He became the youngest player to represent GB in the Davis Cup match against Israel in 2005.

 

He won his first ATP title, the SAP Open in San Jose USA, in 2006 and retained the title in 2007.  Murray beat world number one Roger Federer in three sets at the Dubai Championships in May 2008 and won the Marseille and Doha Opens earlier this year.
