Simeon’s big breakthrough season was 2005 where he won a junior sprint double indoors and outdoors over 60m and 100m. He was the second fastest junior in the world that year, beaten only by Craig Pickering, behind whom he won the European Junior silver medal, beaten by just 0.01 sec.

In 2007 he overturned the formbook to beat team mate Craig Pickering 10.10 to 10.14 to take the gold at the Europeans U23s and peaked perfectly to take World Student gold in Bangkok.

He is studying sports science at Middlesex University, and is the second cousin of high jumper Germaine Mason.
