Began cycling aged 27 in South Africa & made GBR debut at Fleche Wallone in Apr 08. A recent convert from mountain bike racing, Sharon came to prominence by coming 2nd at Australian National Road Race Championships in Jan 08

 

Why did you start cycling?

To have fun and as training for adventure racing

Food or item of clothing used in last successful race

Memorable achievements

2nd at australian road race championships, beating 2004 olympic record holder in my 8th ever race and no one knowing who i was!

Most humourous moment?

First ever triathlon getting my laces caught around the bike pedal whilst riding out of the transition zone - which i wasnt allowed to do so had to be rescued cos i couldnt get off the bike.
