Euan Burton made his Olympic debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He progressed to the final Repechage, but lost to Brazilian Tiago Camilo.

 

At the 2009 World Cup in Birmingham Burton beat teammate Tom Reed in an all British final, with a winning ippon throw midway through the five-minute bout.

 

Burton beat the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games -73kg gold medallist Gieuseppe Maddaloni (ITA) to take bronze medal at 2007 World Championships and qualify for Beijing Olympic Games.
