Julia Beckett made her Olympic debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. She was part of th 4 x 100m freestyle relay were the team placed 8th in the prelims.
Becketts notes breaking the 2minute barrier for the 200m Freestyle at the BUSA Long Course Championships in February 2008 as her finest performance to date.
