Francesca Halsall made her Olympic debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Her best result at the games was fourth place in the 4x100m medley relay. She also swam in the 100m freestyle where she placed eighth and seventh in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
Halsall was first selected for Great Britain in 2003 where she competed in the European Youth Olympic Days.
In 2005 she was on the shortlist for 2005 BBC Young Sports Personality of Yearr with winner Henry Aikines-Aryeetey & Theo Walcott.
