Aaron Cook made his Olympic debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He lost in the bronze medal match to Zhu Guo of China.

Cook is one of the most promising youngsters in the world. He announced himself on the global senior stage after winning gold at the 2007 Germany Open at the age of just sixteen. Cook went on to dominate the junior age groups while continuing to impress at senior level.

He was crowned the Cadet European Champion 2005 and went onto to take the bronze at the Junior World Championships a year later.
