Section heading - Biography

Liam came 5th in the mountain biking section at Athens 2004; his debut Olympics. This Olympic success came on the back of a fourth place at the 2003 world championships in this category; a placing which could have been even better if it hadn't been for a puncture.

A multi national champion as a junior and Under-23, he won his first major medal, a bronze, at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. He folllowed this up with a gold at Melbourne four years later.
