Marlon Devonish has been one of the most consistent British sprinters in the last 15 years. He competed in his third successive Olympic Games at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He reached the semi-finals in the 200m sprint and was a member of the 4x100m relay team, which were disqualified in the final.

At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Devonish finished seventh in his 200m semi-final. He then went on to win bronze in the 4x100m relay in a season’s best of 38.02 with Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Simeon Williamson and Tyrone Edgar.
