Biography
A member of Robbie Brightwell's 4x 400m silver medal winning quartet, he ran the second leg against the Olympic 400m champion Mike Larrabee before handing to John Cooper. All three medal winning teams were inside the old world record time.
In the individual competition, he went out in the second round.
A writer and broadcaster on the sport for ITV, he later became Channel Four's first commissioner for sport ,an executive with Eurosport and later Tyne-Tees tv.
Also worked for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Organising Committee.
