Section heading - Biography

Richard raced in the men's eight for at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The eight won their heat with an exceptional performance and qualified directly for the final where they won a silver medal in a thrilling race with Canada and the USA.

In 2009, Egington has established his place in the men's four winning gold in Lucerne.

At the World Championships in Poznan, Egington along with Alex Gregory, Matt Langridge, and Alex Partridge won gold in the mens coxless four.
