Rebecca Romero is the first ever British women to compete in two different sports at the Olympic Games and by winning gold in the individual pursuit at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games she is became only the second women of any country to win a medal in two different sports at the summer games!

Romero won an Olympic silver medal  in the quadruple sculls at Athens 2004 Olympic Games, before  forging a new career in cycling and took silver in the women’s individual pursuit at the 2007 World Championships in Mallorca behind America's Sarah Hammer.
